VRKP Steel Industries Bellary TMT Bars Manufacturing process

Virgin iron ore is purchased through government-routed auctions.

Thorough quality check of the raw material is done to look for impurities.

The iron ore is processed and reduced to sponge iron.

The sponge iron is quality checked and segregated as per grade.


The sponge iron is converted to high quality billets in steel melting furnaces.

Continuous casting is performed and finally each billet is tested for quality.

The billets are directly fed to produce TMT bars.

Each bar is cut and shaped into different lengths for further processing.


Each billet of 100 x100 mm is cut into the desired TMT bar size through a comprehensive reduction process.

All TMT bars are passed through a quenching process.

Bars of all sizes are checked for quality.


The 'Ladle Refining Furnace' provides a superior grade to our TMT bars.


Bars are stacked for dispatch.

The TMT Rebars are then customised for consumer consumption.


We use the highest quality of materials to ensure the highest quality of construction.
Our bars are durable, strong and have a low percentage of impurities.

VRKP 500 TMT is manufactured through a superior quality and controlled steel making process to diminish the levels of impurities and improve strength.

These impurities decrease the strength of steel in extreme hot and cold conditions. We ensure that these impurities are kept to their lowest levels, so as to ensure great construction.

With special use of chemistry and a post rolling treatment, they possess tremendous capacity to absorb energy beyond the regular yield limits. This makes them thoroughly earthquake-resistant. We achieve this by complete backward integration of steel making.
